I Married the Man Who Broke My Heart: Part Three

November 19, 2018 by Michelle Leave a Comment
Taiwan Nature Green Island Dog

Back in Part One and Part Two, I talked about how Sean went from being a good friend, to someone a little more, then back to being a good friend. By then, I’d found a nice boyfriend, N.

A Little Bit About N

N was a friend I’d known back when I was still studying. I knew him to be humorous, and very popular among friends. Before we were in a relationship, we ran into each other during an outing with my ex-coursemates a year before. After that day, he started asking me out. At that point, I wasn’t ready to be in a relationship, so I blew him off after one date. He was very persistent though, but he finally gave up after a few months of trying. Continue Reading…

I Married the Man Who Broke My Heart: Part Two

Modern Toilet Taichung 2012

We went to Taiwan early this month, with both our mums and Baby J. Sure brought back some of ‘those’ memories, but I’m glad we’re back to build new ones with our loved ones.

In Part One, I mentioned a trip to Taiwan with Sean. And remember a female colleague who ‘warned’ him about me? Yeah that was the start of our troubles… Well, more of mine actually. I never knew about her ‘warning’ until Sean told me about it in Taiwan. So I was still blissfully looking forward to the trip with a great friend I’d crushed on. Continue Reading…

Taiwan Trip 2012

I posted this on my personal Facebook page a few days ago:

Yes Daddy Sean broke my heart before we got together! And it may or may not be as bad as it sounds, depending on how you perceive it. If given a choice (maybe by means of some magic spell), I wouldn’t change a single thing though. I created this post to commemorate Valentine’s Day. Even though we don’t celebrate this day, the date is very special to us. So here’s part one of our little story, depicting my rawest feelings about how it all started. Continue Reading…

Sean Michelle Wedding Marriage

Five days ago, Daddy Sean and I celebrated our third year anniversary! Yes, we just turned 3! These have been three excellent years of marriage. While we were dating (for 2 years), many people commented that all the nice stuff that Sean (the then-boyfriend) had been doing for me were because we were still in the honeymoon stage. But he’s been consistent and improving himself as the years go by. Looking forward to more awesome years with Baby J and Daddy Sean! 🙂

To understand why I admire my husband so much, read this post and this post! 😛 Continue Reading…

When Having a Last Minute Poop Saved the Group From a Whole Lot of Trouble

Last Minute Poop

Have you ever missed your flight because of an incident you could not control? Does seem rather annoying at the time, doesn’t it? Ever missed an important event, or arrived late, due to a decision you made? Or because of a last minute poop?

This late afternoon, I took a bet, and went into a small road to avoid the traffic lights at the main road that were turning red. Along that small road, about half the time, a truck may stop there to deliver some goods to the shops and block the road. Or we may even encounter a car waiting to pick someone up along that stretch. I lost my bet. Because even though the traffic lights turned red at the main road, there was a truck delivering goods along the small road I picked. Had I chosen to wait at the traffic lights instead, I would’ve reached my destination slightly earlier. Such inconveniences used to tick me off very easily in the past. But not anymore.

My hubby related this incident that happened to him many years ago. He had planned a trip to Malaysia with two good friends. They were to meet at the train station and travel in by train. It was supposed to be a rather short ride, and they should reach their destination within a few hours. They even met up at an earlier timing for breakfast before their train ride. Continue Reading…

My Dear Husband

August 23, 2017 by Michelle 5 Comments
Dear and I New Zealand 2013

I really admire my husband, aka Daddy Sean in this site. Sometimes he receives the worst crap from others, but he handles them in the best way.

A couple of weeks ago, Sean received a new tuition assignment to teach Mathematics to a JC year 2 student, which he excitedly accepted because it was close to where we live. The Saturday morning of his first lesson, he kissed me after I booked him a Grab ride ($4 off!), and left promptly. I went about doing my mummy duties, when just half an hour later, I received a phone call from him, saying that he’s coming home because the assignment is off, and that he would tell me the full story when he gets home. Here’s his account of what happened… Continue Reading…
